Fathom records and summarizes your calls. Once you connect it to CapBloom, every recorded call becomes something your automations can react to. A new recording can kick off a workflow, and you can pull the call summary or full transcript into your follow-ups. Investor discovery call ends, and CapBloom drafts the recap and logs it while you are still walking to your car.
Two honest things up front. Fathom only sends calls that were actually recorded and processed, and that processing takes a few minutes after the call ends, so nothing fires the second you hang up. And CapBloom does not know which contact the call belongs to automatically. You match the recording to the right investor using the participant email inside the workflow. More on that below.

The mental model: Connecting Fathom is a one-time handshake. After that, a recorded call is just another event your automations can listen for, the same way they listen for a form fill or a booked appointment.

Add an action to Update Contact.
Choose the field you want to update like Notes.
And then using Custom Value Finder - find New Recording and then click the field you want to input into your notes section.

Fathom has to be connected before any trigger or action will work and you need to run TEST TRIGGER. If your test shows no records, that is the first thing to check, followed by whether you actually have a recent processed recording to test against.
Contact matching is not automatic. The recording does not know which investor it belongs to. Match it inside the workflow using the participant email so the summary lands on the right contact.
These Fathom actions are premium workflow actions and may carry a usage charge each time they run. For the specifics on that, send it through the Support form, do not guess.
Nothing fires the moment a call ends. Processing takes a few minutes, so build your workflow expecting a short delay.
